More than $6.4 million donated by the Cencora Impact Foundation to nonprofit organizations in FY24
We do more than just give to organizations; we develop strong relationships and invest in our partnerships over the long term. We promote best practice sharing and building connections within our nonprofit community. This commitment is evident through regular collaboration calls, a grantee LinkedIn group, and our annual Foundation Nonprofit Partner Conference.
The Cencora Impact Foundation hosted its fifth annual Nonprofit Partner Conference at Cencora’s headquarters in FY24, gathering more than 40 nonprofit partners and leaders for a two-day symposium focused on enhancing collaboration to improve global health outcomes. Discussions included a keynote on health access in impoverished regions, a case study panel highlighting the importance of synthesizing partnerships, a workshop on fostering an inclusive culture, and a resilience planning session by Healthcare Ready, all aimed at strengthening our collective impact on communities around the world.

Partner spotlight
The Cencora Impact Foundation’s international nonprofit partner, DKMS, is dedicated to saving the lives of patients with blood cancer and other blood disorders. DKMS recruits potential bone marrow and blood stem cell donors to give patients a second chance at life. They provide access to transplantation to people in low- and middle-income countries and improve therapies through research. In FY23 and FY24, the Cencora Impact Foundation provided grant funding to DKMS to advance our joint mission of saving lives. Both grants supported lifesaving blood stem cell transplant access for patients in India. Funding from FY23 helped 10 children gain access to transplants, while increased funding for DKMS’s Access to Transplantation program in FY24 has the potential to facilitate this lifesaving treatment for 15 children.
Grant funding also supported donor registration in the United States, the UK, and Germany, where Cencora team members hosted in-person and virtual donor registration drives, contributing to the 12.5 million registered donors with DKMS worldwide. As of the end of FY24, more than 150 new registrants joined DKMS’s worldwide stem cell donor database and are prepared to selflessly save lives.

“The effects of this tragedy are far-reaching, and the significant impact that this donation will have cannot be overstated. In addition to food supply shortages and sanitation concerns, ensuring patient care is paramount. Rio Grande do Sul is a key region for clinical trials. Numerous patients rely on Cencora to provide access to medication and prevent treatment interruptions.”
